What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Logistics Associate position at UFP Industries?
**Job Description:**
This Forklift Operator I role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our production process. The successful candidate will be responsible for moving material from inventory to production and back to inventory, as well as providing production departments with material according to the production schedule.
Main Responsibilities:
- Providing production departments with material from inventory according to production schedule
- Moving material in process from one station to another if necessary
- Banding, wrapping, and/or packing finished goods, and labeling material
- Moving finished goods from production area to finished goods inventory yard or warehouse
- Assisting production with bottlenecks and other material needs
- Providing general preventive maintenance on equipment
- Completing pre-shift startup equipment checklist and reporting any problems or concerns
- Maintaining rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean
Key Requirements:
- No minimum experience is required; however, forklift driving experience is preferred
- Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred
- Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
