We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring high standards of hygiene and sanitation.
- Maintain floors through various methods such as buffing, waxing, and stripping to ensure they are clean and presentable.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage waste disposal effectively, ensuring proper segregation of recyclables and non-recyclables.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies, providing thorough cleaning solutions as necessary.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly after use.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Familiarity with industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Skills in floor care techniques such as buffing and maintenance are highly desirable.
- Experience with residential painting or porter duties can be beneficial for this role.
- A strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team is essential.
