Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both residential and commercial spaces.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Conduct industrial cleaning duties as required, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
- Handle floor care responsibilities such as buffing and waxing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep.
- Engage in porter duties by managing waste disposal and recycling efforts.
- Respond promptly to cleaning requests or emergencies to maintain a clean environment.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and properly stored.
Experience
- Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation is beneficial.
- Experience in floor care techniques including buffing and maintenance is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
