Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with a focus on both commercial and residential spaces.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas.
- Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure floors are well-maintained.
- Carry out custodial duties in both commercial and residential settings, ensuring all areas are sanitized and organized.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote an environmentally friendly workplace.
- Conduct inspections of the premises to identify any maintenance or cleaning needs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operations and high standards of cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of floor care techniques, including buffing and industrial cleaning methods.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks throughout the day.
