Janitor and Cleaner

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for all occupants. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks in commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

Duties

• Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas by sanitizing surfaces and replenishing supplies.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed.
• Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
• Assist with custodial tasks in both commercial and industrial settings to ensure all areas are well-maintained.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs to management.
• Follow safety protocols while using cleaning chemicals and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills

• Experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work is preferred.
• Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment operation is a plus.
• Ability to maintain attention to detail while performing cleaning tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with floor care practices including buffing and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• A proactive approach to identifying areas that require cleaning or maintenance.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and report issues effectively.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.25 per hour
