We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
- Buff and polish floors to maintain their appearance and longevity.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to ensure they are sanitary.
- Handle waste disposal and recycling in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies; report any maintenance issues as necessary.
- Assist with facilities maintenance tasks as needed, including minor repairs.
- Support industrial cleaning efforts in larger facilities or during special events.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and effectively.
- Provide porter services as required, ensuring the movement of materials or supplies within the facility.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or custodial services is preferred.
- Familiarity with floor care techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of facilities maintenance tasks is desirable.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Experience in residential painting or similar tasks is a nice-to-have skill.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
