Job Summary
In this position the employee will assist other welders, keep work area clear and in safe working condition. Cut and prepare piping and learn additional welding skills.
This position involves working out of town for several months at a time, (4-5 days a week when applicable) and potentially 60% of the year .
Duties and Responsibilities
- Must hold and maintain a welding certificate for ASME IX
- Must hold and maintain a welding certificate for API 1104
- Must Hold and maintain a Tig welding certificate ASME IX.
- Keep work area clear and in safe working condition
- Learn and obtain UGI Energy Services OQ training certificates for piping, pipefitting, and welding roles and responsibilities.
- Fabricate piping segments / assemblies under the direction of project leaders, project supervisor, and / or project manager.
- Continue and learn changing welding skills, pipe fitting skills, and rigging skills according to UGI Energy Services safety department documents and OQ training program.
- Maintain OQ Training assignments in UGI Energy Services OQ training program
