Ugly Dumpling in Newark, DE is looking for an Assistant General Manager!
We are actively looking for an Assistant General Manager to assist in ensuring UD Team Members and Shift Supervisors' individual goals are aligned with broader organizational objectives, fostering a cohesive team approach aimed at achieving the company's overarching goals.
Reports to: General Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Acts as a conduit for effective communication between Team Members, Shift Supervisors, and the GM, ensuring directives are clear and information flows smoothly.
- Provides hands-on guidance to both Shift Supervisors and Team Members to ensure adherence to standard procedures and maintain service quality.
- Implements procedures to ensure crew members maintain quality standards, SOPs, and food safety regulations during their shifts.
- Executes plans alongside the GM and Shift Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, aiding in task delegation and optimizing crew member assignments for efficient service.
- Provides on-shift assistance to Shift Supervisors and crew members, aiding in decision-making and conflict resolution to maintain a positive work environment.
- Assists the GM in managing payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in staff payments, while also supporting staff scheduling activities to optimize shifts and resources, meeting operational demands effectively.
- Aids the GM in managing inventory, ordering supplies, handling invoicing, and ensuring efficient procurement processes to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline resource acquisition.
- Actively engages with guests, addresses inquiries, feedback, and ensures exceptional customer service standards.
Qualifications:
- 1 years prior Full Service Restaurant Management experience
- 1 years prior bartending experience
- State Mandated Food Handlers Certification
- Proficient in Technology applications: POS Systems, Scheduling Platform, Purchasing and Inventory Management software.
- Ability to communicate at a high level, professionally.
- Understanding of World Class Guest Service.
- Experienced with P&L and understanding of how sales, labor and other costs are related.
Preferred:
- 2 years prior Full Service Restaurant Management experience.
- 2 years prior bartending experience.
- State Mandated Food Manager Certification.
- Experienced with P&L, strong understanding of how sales, labor and other costs are related, and what must be done to improve key restaurant metrics.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
