FOH Team Member Job Description
General Description:
The FOH Team Member is the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for creating a warm and welcoming environment. This role combines the responsibilities of assisting hosting guests, efficiently managing transactions, assisting in making boba drinks, as well as providing a clean environment by running and clearing tables. The ideal candidate is friendly, organized, and passionate about providing excellent service.

Duties & Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Warmly greet guests upon arrival with a smile and a friendly attitude.
Assist guests with any inquiries about the menu or restaurant operations.
Process guest transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
Handle cash, credit card payments, and receipts while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
Assist guests with takeout orders, ensuring accuracy and timely preparation.
Keep the front-of-house area clean, organized, and welcoming.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and restocking supplies.
Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure smooth operations.
Bobarista duties
Prepare and serve bubble tea beverages according to standardized recipes and presentation guidelines.
Cook and maintain the quality of boba pearls and other toppings throughout the day.
Measure, mix, and adjust ingredients to ensure consistency and flavor.
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and customization options.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing concerns or special requests promptly.
Assist with daily opening, closing, and shift change tasks, including equipment cleaning and stock replenishment.
Communicate restocking needs to management in a timely manner.
Expo/runner duties
- Bring food from the kitchen to the correct tables.
- Make sure all food arrives together for each table.
- Talk to the kitchen and serve staff to ensure orders are correct.
- Ensure food looks good and is accurate before serving.
- Help with refills, clearing plates, and other needs.
- Keep the food station tidy and ready to serve.
Essential Functions
Previous experience in a cashier, host, expo/running, bobarista or customer-facing role preferred but not required.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills and familiarity with POS systems are a plus.
Knowledge & Abilities
Friendly, positive demeanor with a passion for providing excellent guest service.
Ability to handle guest interactions with professionalism and patience.
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
