A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Long-Term Care (LTC) has various responsibilities focused on patient care, medication administration, and support for both patients and healthcare teams. Here’s a detailed breakdown:
- Patient Care & Monitoring
- Provide basic nursing care (bathing, dressing, feeding assistance).
- Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration).
- Assess patients for changes in condition and report to RNs or physicians.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of LPN LTC experience and previous travel nursing experience.
- Licenses: Active Hawaii LVN license, valid driver’s license, and car insurance.
- Certifications: BLS (required); Arrhythmia certification (preferred).
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Homecare Home Base and OASIS.
- Vaccinations: COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (no declinations accepted).
