Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our medical imaging team for a 13-week contract in Des Moines, IA. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing MRI scans, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining high-quality imaging standards in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality MRI scans as ordered by physicians.
- Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust parameters to obtain optimal image quality.
- Administer contrast agents as required while following safety protocols.
- Review and evaluate images for diagnostic quality and accuracy.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document procedures in compliance with hospital policies.
- Ensure adherence to all radiation safety guidelines and infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient care.
Requirements:
- Active ARRT (MR) certification (required).
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in MRI imaging.
- Active Iowa state licensure (if applicable).
- BLS certification (required).
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and patient positioning techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume imaging department.
