Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU for a 13-week contract in Bismarck, ND. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and be comfortable working day shifts in a high-acuity environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening conditions
- Continuously monitor vital signs, ventilators, and critical care equipment
- Administer medications, IV infusions, and advanced treatments as prescribed
- Respond quickly to medical emergencies and changes in patient conditions
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient progress accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Educate and support patients and their families regarding treatment and recovery plans
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
Requirements:
- License: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Dakota or compact state eligibility
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in an Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – Required
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Certification – Preferred
- Skills: Proficiency in ventilator management, hemodynamic monitoring, and emergency interventions
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
