Shift Type: Nights (12-hour shifts, 36-hour guarantee)
Shift Times: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
Weekend Requirements: Determined by the facility

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive patient care in a Telemetry unit while also caring for Med Surg patients as required. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care in accordance with professional standards and organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to telemetry and Med Surg patients.
- Utilize nursing skills and judgment to assess patient data and provide appropriate care.
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure the delivery of nursing services adheres to professional standards.
- Provide guidance to others under their direction as needed.
Requirements
- Experience:
- 2 years of recent Telemetry experience – Required.
- Comfort in caring for Med Surg patients on a Telemetry unit – Required.
- Certifications:
- ACLS (AHA) – Required.
- BLS (AHA) – Required.
- NIHSS (via NIHStrokeScale.org) – Required.
- Licensure:
- Active Maryland RN license or Compact RN license – Required.
- Additional:
- COVID-19 vaccination (declinations not accepted) – Required.
- Completion of the GBMC cover page, resume, skills checklist, and supervisory references.
Submission Requirements
- GBMC-specific cover page.
- Current resume.
- Two supervisory references (one within the last 6 months, another within the last 12 months).
- Completed skills checklist relevant to the role.
- Active RN license (verified via Nursys).
- Proof of certifications (active at the time of submission).
- NIHSS completion certificate.

Additional Information
- Orientation: RN orientations are held every other week on Tuesday and Wednesday.
- Time Off: Candidates may request the equivalent of one contracted week's hours off during the assignment (e.g., 36 hours for a 36-hour/week contract).
- Pay Details:
- OT and call-back billed at 1.5x rate (OT starts after 48 hours).
- 24 hours of orientation time are non-billable.
