Job Posting: Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical (Med Surg)
Facility: Regional West Medical Center
Location: Scottsbluff, NE 69361
Shift: 36 hours/week, (12-hour shifts)
Shift Timings: Rotating Days/Nights varied shifts including weekends
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (possible extension)
Compensation:
- Weekly Gross Pay: $2650
Unit Details:

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients in a Med Surg unit.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient progress and response to treatments.
- Administer medications and perform medical procedures in compliance with physician orders and hospital policies.
- Deliver patient education regarding treatments, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care tailored to individual patient needs.
- Float to other units as required by staffing needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the Cerner charting system.
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent Med Surg experience.
- Certifications: BLS (current and active). COVID-19 vaccination required.
- License: Must hold an active RN license for submission.
Notes:
- Experience with Cerner charting is highly preferred.
- Candidates should demonstrate excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
