Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry for a 13-week contract position in Tacoma, WA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telemetry nursing, providing specialized care for patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and assess patients with cardiac conditions, utilizing telemetry equipment.
- Interpret and respond to ECG readings and cardiac rhythms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
- Provide patient education regarding disease management and post-discharge care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements:
- Active RN license in Washington (or ability to obtain before start date)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Telemetry unit
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong knowledge of cardiac monitoring and emergency response procedures
- Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
