Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team in Germantown, MD, for a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting high-quality ultrasound examinations while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, vascular, obstetric, gynecologic, and small parts imaging.
- Operate ultrasound equipment efficiently, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.
- Review and interpret physician orders to determine appropriate imaging protocols.
- Educate and guide patients through procedures while ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Document findings and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare providers for diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Follow infection control and safety protocols in compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technician.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required.
- Proficiency in various ultrasound imaging techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) and commit to a 13-week contract.
