Mechanical Contract Sales Associate
A little about us: UHL Company was founded in 1917. Since then we have continued to grow and expand our services to best serve our customers growing needs. We are one of Minnesota’s largest Building Automation Systems Contractors! We also offer mechanical services in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security, fire and energy services.
With constant growth comes new opportunities. We are seeking a new member for our mechanical services team to help grow and promote our custom maintenance programs. Since our customer base includes complex large commercial systems, we are looking for an individual that understands large commercial systems and what it entails to properly maintain them to our high standards.
Objective: To maintain our existing customer base and build our service department through proactively seeking out new opportunities.
The ideal candidate:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC mechanical systems and components.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn logic software or related software.
- Work as a team player
- Work proficient with little supervision
- Knowledgeable and up to date on HVAC trends
- Knowledge of best practices in commercial mechanical maintenance
- Experience with vendors and subcontractors
- Ability to climb, walk and sit for extended periods of time
- Good driving record

Responsibilities:
- Meet with potential customers and sell them on the value of the services we offer.
- Seek out new customers through cross marketing, referrals, B2B calling and attending events.
- Maintain and review existing customer contracts.
- Work with marketing on increasing exposure to potential new and existing customers.
- Be part of a team to improve efficiency through refined processes.
- Update Maintenance software, generate new maintenance forms and continually refine the system to improve ease of use.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Training/on boarding:
The selected candidate will be trained on our processes and software. Our existing contract sales team will provide ongoing support to ensure your success.
Base Pay Commission structure: Unlimited earning potential!
Base Pay $65,000-$85,000 / year based on experience
