JOB SUMMARY: The cook is responsible for preparing / cooking meals and other food requests based on a specific menu on a timely basis, and within a required volume, to meet the food needs of the residents and staff. Responsible for promptly cleaning and organizing the work areas to maintain a required health statutes of the facility. This is a Full-Time position.

NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED  (On-Site Training).

• Have a high school diploma or an equivalent
• Have six months of related experience in a restaurant or healthcare kitchen environment
• Able to work weekends
• Able to follow diet instructions and menus, compute quantities, and follow written and oral instructions
• Be knowledgeable of food handling and sanitation procedures and proper food temperatures
• Able to function independently with personal integrity with tact and flexibility
• Ability to work effectively with residents, staff, and visitors
• Current ServSafe certification is required in accordance with State/County law, or must become ServSafe certified within 30 calendar days of hire
