We are currently looking for an flexible and client-centered Cook for our residential program in Eden Prairie to work weekends (11am-7pm). Our Cooks are responsible for the preparation and service of delicious and nutritious breakfast, lunch and dinner meals for our clients and facility staff according to the approved menu cycle and production sheets. They comply with facility and departmental policies and procedures regarding food services offered. They follow menus and recipes provided by the Dietary Supervisor, while adding their own personal flair to each meal. They follow the posted cleaning schedule and ensure a clean work area and dining room at all times.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Prefer at least two (2) years’ experience in quantity cooking (but willing to train good candidates with less experience), a basic knowledge of modified diets; training in food service sanitation; and experience utilizing industrial kitchen equipment and utensils. Graduate from a formal school specializing in institutional cooking highly desirable.
Additional Requirements: Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and may be required to work variable shifts, overtime and flexible hours as part of our Culinary Team.
Must be able to pass/clear the MN DHS Background Study and must pass a UA drug test.
