McDowell Center for Children (a UHS facility):
McDowell Center is a 28-bed residential treatment facility located in Dyersburg, Tennessee, for adolescent males experiencing mental health, behavioral, and/or substance abuse issues. Our staff is made up of licensed therapists, psychiatrists, nurses, and counselors who offer 24-hour support for our patients. We provide young men with the skills they need to improve their thinking patterns, make healthier choices, and create new futures with improved outlooks and outcomes.

POSITION SUMMARY:
McDowell Center for Children is seeking a dynamic and talented Detention Tech. The Detention Tech coordinates, supervises, and controls, and documents all movement, activity, and services of the adolescent in detention. The Detention Worker also maintains the safety and security of the environment while on duty, and effectively communicates with the next shift regarding the status of all detainees.

REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
