What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIR - ENGINEERING/PLANT OPS position at UHS?
Lancaster Behavioral Health Hospital (LBHH) is a 126-bed, inpatient psychiatric hospital and start-up joint venture between Lancaster General Health/Penn Medicine and Universal Health Services.
In addition to a general adult unit and dedicated adolescent unit, the facility offers services for treating those with co-occurring disorders on the psychiatric-medical unit, an intensive adult unit to care for those with severe conditions, as well as a women’s trauma unit.
The Director of Plant Operations is responsible for oversight of public utilities, security systems (alarms, access controls, etc.), HVAC systems, physical plant operations, housekeeping, dietary, and managing capital projects. This individual ensures compliance with pertinent healthcare building codes, accreditation standards, OSHA, and contractual work specifications; and oversees emergency facilities operational initiatives and plans. In addition, this individual oversees all construction projects and any work performed by outside vendors and contractors, while assuring that all work performed meets fire and safety codes.

Qualifications
What Does LBHH Require for this Role?
- Bachelor's Degree in Facilities Management or related field preferred, but not required.
- Minimum five (5) years’ experience in facilities management with at least two years in a supervisory capacity. Experience in hospital facilities highly preferred, but not required.
