What are the responsibilities and job description for the DIRECTOR of PRTF Cottage position at UHS?
The Director of Cottage PRTF Services oversees the programmatic structure of the Cottage for six patients ages 6-12, ensuring all patients are actively engaged in therapeutic groups and daily tasks. The Director provides all direct therapy services, provides all case management services, coordinates admissions, coordinates group and activity therapy, participates in the Utilization Review, Performance Improvement, Risk Management processes and works as a flexible member of a small team responsible for maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment providing all aspects patient care.
Qualifications
Education: Must have Master’s degree in social work, counseling or related field or nursing from an accredited educational institution.
Experience: Psychiatric experience in providing treatment to children ages 6-12 is required. Previous supervisory experience is highly preferred.
Licensure: Must hold independent license in counseling or social work. Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state. Must maintain a food handler’s card.
Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CRP Certification, Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) and First Aid. Must possess effective communication skills and can maintain professionalism in dealing with residents, families, physicians, treatment team members, and referral sources. Must have good command of the English language and good writing skills. The individual must be organized, motivated and possess good management skills.
