What are the responsibilities and job description for the Financial Counselor Full Time Days position at UHS?
Provides financial information to clients, verifies accuracy and completeness of patient financial records prior to outpatient service, scheduled inpatient admission and/or inpatient discharge when the admission has been unplanned. Ensures that financial arrangements are completed according to the financial policies and procedures. Performs Quality Assurance reviews on registrations and reports the results to the Admissions Supervisor weekly. Screens patients for county/charity assistance. Demonstrates Service Excellence at all times. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High School Graduate or equivalent. | Knowledge of insurance requirements and/or third-party reimbursement |
Able to communicate effectively and demonstrate service excellence through appropriate response and use of constructive problem-solving techniques when confronted with different people or situations | Previous computer entry experience and able to type 40 WPM with accuracy in spelling |
