Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is located in Conway, South Carolina, just a few miles north of Myrtle Beach. For adults and seniors, we provide inpatient acute psychiatric care, 28-day substance abuse treatment and detoxification as well as dual diagnosis services. For adolescents, we provide acute psychiatric services.
Lighthouse is a JCAHO-accredited Hospital. Most major commercial insurances, Medicare and TRICARE® pay for Lighthouse acute care services. Medicaid is accepted for services provided to adolescents
Lighthouse Behavioral Health Hospital is looking for a Full time receptionsist to join our team.
this is a full time position with benefits.
Job Summary: Receives and relays incoming and outgoing telephone calls for the facility. Provides directory information, transfers calls as appropriate. Enters facility directory information into the computer database. Makes general and emergency announcements over the facility’s PA system. Handles the facility paging system and the beeper system.
Qualifications at Entry:
High school level reading and writing skill; basic arithmetic skills; skills in business English usage; excellent telephone etiquette and tact;; pleasant and audible speech, with good enunciation; ability to operate AT&T System 35 or 75 console, or similar; flexibility; ability to interact effectively with persons of widely diverse roles, backgrounds, cultures, and socio-economic classes, those in crises or resistant or negative toward organization; ability to remain seated at switchboard for long periods of time without significant discomfort or distress.
Qualifications
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- One to three years experience as a switchboard operator preferred.
Language Skills:
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Additional languages preferred.
