Mountain Youth Academy is centrally located near Johnson City, TN, Boone, NC, and Abingdon, VA. We are a 120-bed residential treatment facility and assist in the  evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of behavioral health issues for our young adolescent patients.

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for maintaining all patient care areas and office areas in a clean and
sanitary manner. He/she ensures a thorough cleaning and disinfecting of his/her assigned area
daily. He/she will also handle special or quarterly cleaning tasks as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming 
• Empties and cleans all trash cans daily.
• As indicated on the cleaning schedule, clean areas assigned 
• As indicated on the cleaning schedule, high and low dust on all furniture and
  surfaces.
• Disinfect and clean patient bedrooms as indicated on the cleaning schedule. 
• Checks and fills all linen supplies.

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

• Must have the ability to interpret and communicate/read/understand in English in written and verbal material to perform essential job functions
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Prior housekeeping experience preferred
