What are the responsibilities and job description for the INTAKE COUNSELOR position at UHS?
Roxbury is currently hiring a full-time Intake Counselor for the overnight shift. Options include four 10-hour shifts or five 8 hour shifts per week, weekend rotation. Great opportunity to work in the admissions department!
The Intake Counselor provides telephonic and in-person assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for 40 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. We also have two substance use disorder outpatient offices in Carlisle and Chambersburg. Qualifications
Intake Counselor Job Requirements:
- Masters's degree in a psychology-related field is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college in Psychology or other related field required.
