LICENSED SOCIAL WORKER (MA/MSW/LPC)

Basic Purpose of Job

This position provides social work, case management & counseling services to patients & families experiencing psychiatric illness & or substance abuse issues; orients families/patients to the treatment program while encouraging active participation.

Texoma Medical Center, a 414-bed acute care facility has been providing quality health care to the residents of North Texas and Southern Oklahoma since 1965. POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling related field.
• Licensed as a qualified mental health professional- LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LPC-A. BLS (Basic Life Support).
  Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting. Handle with Care required with new hire orientation.
• Ability to identify & address the special needs of the psychiatric patient & addictive disease patient. Must be able to identify & address the special needs of patients in the adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups. Ability to manage time independently and prioritize work. Ability to communicate effectively with all types of patients and caregivers.  Must be able to identify and address the needs of all types of patients in the adolescent, adult and geriatric age groups.
