Job Summary

Our Detox LPN's daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring basic patient health such as vital signs and overall condition, taking patient histories and maintaining documentation and providing personal care. The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN), which is consistent with their cope of practice, education and skills. The LPN contributes to the planning, implementation and evaluation of care by gathering of data and communicating information to the RN.  They provide effective communication and ensure that the patient care is conducted according to our policies and standards of Windsor Laurelwood.

Job Requirements

Experience: Preferred experience working in a detox setting.

Qualifications

Education:  Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required.

Experience:  A minimum of a years’ experience in a detox health care setting is preferred.

Licensure: Current license to practice nursing in Ohio (LPN/LVN) or eligible to receive or renew. 

Additional Requirements:  Trained in non-violent physical crisis intervention (BLS) and CPR prior to accepting independent assignment or released from orientation.
