SUMMARY: Responsible for covering clinical offices based on operational need. Assists in the examination and treatment of patients, take vital signs, record patient charges, record patient history, assist in minor office procedures. Participate in patient education, communicating effectively with others and functioning in the scope of practice. Thorough knowledge of infection control and aseptic techniques. Job duties to include but not limited to Pre-op calls, Pre-op, Intra-op, Post-op. Must be flexible to float between departments.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. HOURS:Monday- Friday, 6:30AM- 5:00PM hours may vary depending on departmental need
Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Current California licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse. Graduate of accredited school of Licensed Vocational Nursing. One (1) year previous experience in an ambulatory care setting.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license, current AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare) - American Heart Association and IV certification required. Current ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - American Heart Association certification preferred.
