What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Unit Secretary position at UHS?
The Unit Secretary plays a vital role in the smooth operation of our healthcare facility as an assistant to our medical director and serving as a primary point of contact between treatment units and staff. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage administrative tasks efficiently, multitask effectively, and provide exceptional service. The best suited candidates enjoy a fast-paced environment, interacting with a wide variety of staff and making a meaningful contribution to the effectiveness of our treatment environment. Qualifications
- Previous experience as a medical unit secretary preferred
- Experience interacting with the public
- Basic knowledge of medical office terminology preferred
- General knowledge of office equipment (copy & fax machines)
- Experience using Word (version 10) and Excel
- Ability to prioritize effectively and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with Outlook email and calendar
