What are the responsibilities and job description for the MGR - NURSING position at UHS?
The Nursing Manager (R.N.) is a registered professional nurse who shares delegated responsibility and accountability with the Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers, in all matters related to programmatic issues, unit staff, patient management and care, and daily FTE’s. Assists Director of Nursing and Nurse Managers with compliance to hospital policy and procedures. Acts as the primary receiver of inquiry calls during assigned shifts.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years experience in a psychiatric hospital settings or related professional setting. Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Indiana State Board of Nursing. Must have a valid driver's license.
Additional Requirements: CPR certification, Non violent physical crisis intervention completion & appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment, and prior to assisting in a restraining process. Must pass a medication administration exam and complete a basic developmental competency exam.
