Clininical Supervisor - Social Work/Utilization Management

Roxbury is currently hiring a Clinical Supervisor to oversee the clinical programs in our social work and utilization management departments on our acute psychiatric units. This is an operational leader position reporting directly to the Director of Clinical Services.

The Clinical Supervisor, Social Work/Utilization Review, provides clinical social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center and the NASW.  This position is responsible for psychosocial assessments of the patient’s mental health and drug and alcohol history; individual, group and family therapy; active participation on the treatment team; lead role in the development of the master treatment plan; developing realistic and measurable short and long term goals; and assumes responsibility for coordinating with other agencies involved with the patient the discharge and continuing care plans.  The Clinical Supervisor, Social Work/ Utilization Review, also assists the Director of Clinical Services in developing and implementing program and department goals and objectives, standards, policies and procedures and assisting in all areas of the day-to-day operations of the department.  This Supervisor also oversees the utilization program in reviewing admissions for appropriate authorizations, continued treatment stays for all levels of care, and working with the Business Office to assure payment of treatment stays and timely appeals of denied cases.  This individual serves as a key member of operational leadership and must work in cooperation with physician staff and other department managers.

Roxbury Treatment Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc., has been a beacon of hope and healing for over 35 years, serving those struggling with behavioral health and substance use issues. Located in Shippensburg, PA., our 112-bed behavioral health facility offers acute psychiatric, detoxification, and rehabilitation services for adults as well as, an adolescent inpatient psychiatric program for youth ages 13-17. Education and Experience:

Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in Social Work required, with a practicum in health or human service agency preferred.  Previous experience in social work and utilization management preferred.

Two years supervisory experience preferred.
