What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Supervisor Night Shift position at UHS?
We are seeking qualified candidates for our Night Shift Nursing Supervisor - Behavioral Health role. The selected candidate will supervise the daily operations of the nursing department ensuring the delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and therapeutic care.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily shift operations under Nurse Management's direction, ensuring patient needs are met
- Serve as a leader for nursing department staff and other hospital professionals
- Identify and resolve operational problems promptly; mediate patient/family/visitor issues; handle escalated hospital issues
- Maintain appropriate nursing unit staffing coverage; enforce hospital policies and procedures
- Evaluate nursing staff performance and participate in hospital policy implementation
- Administer medications and treatments accurately; ensure proper documentation and patient care
Qualifications
- State of Oregon Registered Nurse License
- 1year minimum prior progressive leadership/supervisory experience
- Current CPR card
- Current TB, Covid and Vaccinations
- 3 Experience in a behavioral health setting
- Thorough knowledge of the Joint Commission, HCFA, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements.
- Successful completion of CCrisis Management and Service Excellence training must occur within 90 days of employment
- May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
