What are the responsibilities and job description for the PHARMACIST (PER DIEM) position at UHS?
Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.
Job Description: Provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care through integrated drug distribution, patient counseling and teaching.
Fills orders for medications, monitor patient’s drug therapies and provide drug information.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm)
Experience: One year (1) experience in hospital setting preferred.
Technical Skills: Automation experience with knowledge of reporting features (i.e., optimization, load/unload,
nursing narcotic access, etc.)
License/Certification: Current Pharmacist License in the State of Nevada
