Job Description: Pharmacy Technicians work under the supervision of licensed pharmacists, assisting with various pharmacy department activities. They prepare and distribute medications, maintain drug inventory, and keep records. These tasks are performed according to standard written procedures, guidelines, and state and federal regulations. Pharmacy Technicians do not perform duties that can only be done by registered pharmacists.
Qualifications:
Education: A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred. One year of education in a Technical School is also preferred.
Experience: At least one year of experience is required, preferably in a hospital setting.
Technical Skills: Automation experience and knowledge of reporting features are necessary.
License/Certification: A current license as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada is required.
