POSITION SUMMARY:
Havenwyck Hospital is seeking a dynamic and talented PHP Adult Charge Nurse (RN) to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals.
The PHP Adult Charge Nurse is responsible for quality nursing care and overall nursing functions of the adult partial hospitalization program.
PHP Adult Charge Nurse (RN) duties include but are not limited to:
- Uses the nursing process to ensure appropriate delivery of all nursing care.
- Participates in the development of therapeutic programs for the program.
- Receives the patient’s intake information and verifies the admission with the physician and Intake department.
- Leads the nursing group daily.
- Administers medications to patients as needed.
- Ensures that patients are oriented to the PHP program.
- Communicates with guardians, family members, community providers and other contacts outside the hospital in a professional and caring manner.
- Teaches patients coping skills to deal with behavior; teaches patients/guardians about medications.
- Performs duties via telehealth as needed.

Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required.
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Three to five years of psychiatric experience with one to two year of management experience preferred.
- Current certification in Non-violent Crisis Intervention preferred.
- Current certification in BLS/CPR required.
- Employees must be in good standing (employment/corrective action history, evaluation, etc.) to be considered for internal transfers.
