The UHS Reimbursement Department is hiring a Program Manager - Reimbursement to coordinate the Medicare, Medicaid, and special State and County fee-for- service reimbursement functions for the Behavioral Health Division.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Director of Reimbursement and Division Vice President of Reimbursement in ensuring compliance with applicable Federal and State reimbursement rules and regulations and to optimize Medicare, Medicaid, and special State and County reimbursement through strategic planning and on-going financial analysis
Prepare, review, and coordinate annual Medicare Cost Report Filing for assigned hospitals within the Behavioral Health Division and all related cost report audit activity
Provide on-going hospital reimbursement consulting services (e.g. compliance, billing, financial pro forma analysis) to UHS corporate business office, regional finance and behavioral health facility executive staff with moderate level of support by the Director of Reimbursement or Division Vice President of Reimbursement
Support Department’s activities for hospital assessment / supplemental payments programs as operated by individual states
Coordinate and complete all behavioral health division Medicaid, County or regulatory required cost reports including but not limited to: Massachusetts (RSC-403), RTC cost reports, Pennsylvania
Medicaid PHC4 filings, Georgia and Indiana Match and Title IV-E cost reports used for Federal Match funding for assigned hospitals
Prepare Disproportionate Share Payment Reports and coordinate audits of those reports by the respective payer
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with 5-8 years' experience of cost reporting applications and concepts for behavioral health facility Medicare/Medicaid/Special State & County costs reports.
Advanced knowledge of Medicare Psychiatric Prospective Payment System, as well as some working knowledge of the Medicare acute care inpatient DRG system and Outpatient APC's
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Medicaid and special State & County reimbursement systems related to behavioral health services
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of the following computer applications: (1) Microsoft Excel, (2) Medicare, Medicaid, and special State & County cost report software programs and (3) SEQUEL
Viewpoint and Med Series 4 systems
Working knowledge of health care accounting, finance, and business office concepts and functions
