Recreation Therapist (BA) Psychiatric Unit at Corona Regional Rehabilitation Center in Corona, CA 

This a full-time, day shift position working from Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm

Reporting to the Social Services Supervisor this position is responsible for providing quality patientre to adult and geriatric patients. This person should display good assessment skills, treatment planning, group and individual treatment. Must demonstrate ability to develop and implement a recreational activities program and function as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS
Interpersonal skills, ability to work productively and effectively, ability to represent the hospital program in community interactions.
Good organizational skills; ability to schedule groups and outings as appropriate with members of the multidisciplinary team.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
One year experience working with the Adult/Geriatric population.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
Bachelors degree in recreational therapy preferred.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (C.T.R.S.) certificate required. Current BLS (CPR) required.
