This Emergency Dept Clinical Supervisor opportunity is part time at 24 hours per week, offers full benefitsw and a convenient night shift schedule.  This dynamic individual will perform a dual function, clinical and managerial. Provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, performs disciplinary actions, participates in hiring and termination of staff.  Communicates with physicians/Nurse Manager/co-workers, as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.  Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assists nursing director/manager with evaluation of quality standards of nursing care. Audits patient medical records to evaluate staff compliance with national patient safety goals and other established standards of practice.
• Provides staff education during orientation and through continuing education regarding the specialized knowledge and skills necessary for proficient practice in the clinical setting.
• Provides direct and indirect patient care as necessary, assessing current patient care situations, priorities and needs.
• Ability to perform a head-to-toe assessment on all patients and reassessments as per policy.  This includes: pediatric, geriatric and the general patient population.

• Current state Registered Nurse Licensure, within state of practice.
• Previous Emergency Dept charge nurse experience required.
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification.
• Current TNCC and ENPC certification, preferred.
