Palmdale Regional Medical Center serves the region by providing high quality medical services to residents of the Antelope Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and surrounding communities. The Rehabilitation Institute, the hospital features 184 licensed acute care beds as well as inpatient and outpatient surgery, an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, cardiac services featuring a STEMI Receiving Center (heart attack) and a 35-bed 24-hour emergency department. Qualifications
Requirements:
- One year work experience in the acute hospital setting preferred.
- Experience in diagnosing and treating swallow disorders.
- Ability to analyze test results to determine patients’ communicative abilities and to determine necessary therapy.
- Completion of Master’s Degree required in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited educational institution.
- License to practice speech pathology by the California State Board of Medical Examiners and Certificate of clinical competence (ASHA) or a RPE/CFY applicant supervised by licensed Speech Pathologist following State and ASHA guidelines
- Current BLS Certificate required.
