What are the responsibilities and job description for the Therapist (Licensed) position at UHS?
As a Therapist at Meridell Achievement Center, you'll be part of a dynamic and compassionate treatment team dedicated to providing exceptional care to children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral, and neurobehavioral challenges. You'll play a crucial role in developing and implementing individualized therapeutic plans, working closely with patients, and families to achieve remarkable outcomes.
Your Impact:
- Lead psychoeducation and process groups to empower patients and families with valuable skills and knowledge
- Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare dispositions to ensure seamless transitions for patients
- Serve as the liaison between the treatment team and families/community stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and collaboration
- Document progress notes and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner
- Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and team meetings to stay connected with your unit team members
Qualifications
What You'll Bring:
- Current State of Texas license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A, obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Effective interpersonal skills and competent clinical skills
- Collaborative, positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Preferred Requirements:
- Two years post-licensure experience, advanced training or certification in an evidence-based practice such as EMDR, CBT, or DBT
- One year of clinical experience in RTC setting
- One year of group facilitation experience
