JOB SUMMARY: Provide precertification and verification of benefits for incoming patients. Coordinates the utilization management functions of a patient caseload through collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team and performance of reviews, with external review organizations/managed care companies. Discuss with patient various forms and obtain signatures from the patients. Complete insurance verification from various payors and obtain correct information to complete precertification as well as appeals. Position is PRN Monday - Friday, hours between 8am - 5pm
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships with NARC, Admissions, the Business Office, Physicians, and Nursing staff.
- Conducts psychosocial assessments to document history and identify preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family members.
- Provides group and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other didactic groups for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.

Qualifications
Job Requirements
Education: Masters' degree in a recognized mental health field or Registered Nurse.
Experience: Two years psychiatric experience in chart analysis and in the utilization mangement field.
Additional requirements: Current RN license, LPC or LMSW preferred.
