A great UHY client is seeking a Blackline Implementation SME to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience with deployment, optimization, and ongoing administration of all modules across the global organization. They will also have strong GAAP skills and SAP S/4 HANA skills.
The Blackline Implementation SME role is a hybrid position. This is a client direct hire position.
Blackline Implementation SME Accountabilities:
- Serve as the primary System Administrator for the Global Blackline program.
- Manage Blackline user roles, access administration, and periodic reviews while ensuring compliance with licensing agreements. Maintain reconciliation master data per policy and support the annual risk assessment process.
- Monitor and resolve Blackline support tickets, scheduled jobs, and data imports with SAP and other sources. Collaborate with users, leads, and IT to clarify requirements and recommend system changes. Implement configuration updates following change management protocols.
- Optimize automation rules, deliver training programs, and track performance through KPIs and quality reviews. Establish RACI models and coordinate across teams for efficient operations. Support Matching module adoption and ensure ongoing automation improvements.
- Develop roadmaps for module expansion, review release notes, test updates, and communicate changes. Stay informed on industry best practices to drive automation and process enhancements. Serve as a subject matter expert on G/L data flows, ensuring integrity and consistency across Blackline and SAP.
- Manage global SAP G/L tasks, enforce standardization, and proactively address risks. Support audits, including SOX compliance, and contribute to special projects as needed.
Blackline Implementation SME Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- 4-5 years of accounting experience with public accounting firms and/or public companies
- 2 years of Blackline administrator experience (Account Reconciliations, Journals, Task Management, and/or Matching modules)
- 2 years of experience with SAP (General Ledger, FI/CO)
- Certified Public Accountant – Preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Strong aptitude for understanding the end-to-end flow of business processes and financial data
- Experience with SOX (Sarbanes Oxley) and internal controls over financial reporting
- Proven history of successful collaboration and influencing across functions and levels
- Results-oriented, able to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
Blackline Implementation SME Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Additional degree, major, or emphasis of study in Information Systems or Technology
- Big 4 public accounting firm experience
- Experience working with Hyperion (HFM, Hyperion Planning) and/or Oracle EPM
- Experience working with Power BI and/or SAP BW.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or packaged products industry
- Experience with developing and managing automation rules in an RPA environment
