A valued UHY client is looking for a Controller / FP&A Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background, ideally from a small to mid-sized organization. They should demonstrate strong executive decision-making skills and the ability to provide financial analysis to support the Sales Director and Operations Director in driving overall profitability.
The Controller / FP&A Manager role is onsite. This is a client direct hire position.
Controller / FP&A Manager Job Description:
- Position will report directly to the CFO
- Prepare financial statements, evaluate financial results, appropriately relating financial performance to financial plans
- Lead the accounting Team. Identify business opportunities, cost control, and concerns with the ability to develop appropriate strategies to address each
- Candidate must be able to “roll-up their sleeves” and do some bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and prepare account reconciliations
- Prepare 13-week cash flow forecasts and monitor daily cash balances
- Work closely with the Operations Director and Sales Director and be able to prepare and analyze customer and product profitability
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses
- Assist operations with inventory management and maintaining accurate product costing
- Candidate must be able to manage the financial and administrative staff with clear guidance and instruction
- Ability to download information from ERP system and create management reports and databases / pivot tables
- Maintain in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
- Manage any third parties to which functions have been outsourced
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems

Controller / FP&A Manager Job Requirements:
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (BA) in Accounting is preferred, however, a similar degree in Finance will also be considered.
- 6-8 years minimum of full-charge bookkeeping and financial management experience is required.
- Computer software knowledge required: Strong MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
- Mathematical aptitude as well as good written and verbal communication skills
- QuickBooks and QT9 or similar Accounting software, experience preferred
- Knowledge of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) a plus
- CPA or CMA certification or equivalent experience preferred
