Tax Senior Manager
Assist in guiding and overseeing clients, while supporting internal leaders and the growth of our office in Wayland, MA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and review financial information for clients, including business and individual tax returns.
- Manage client relationships and act as a liaison between internal staff and leaders to ensure high-quality work is conducted and delivered.
- Review tax returns for partnerships, corporations, and individuals.
- Prepare and/or review federal, state, and local tax returns, extensions, and quarterly projections for various clients.
- Handle special projects, including tax audits, transaction structuring, and implementation of tax planning strategies.
- Facilitate advanced tax research and resolve complex tax issues.
- Review tax work from staff and provide feedback, training, and mentoring.
- Lead and manage multiple tax engagements from start to finish, ensuring they are completed within budget and timeline.
- BUILD AND MAINTAIN LASTING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CLIENTS.
- DEVELOP, MOTIVATE, AND TRAIN STAFF – ACT AS A MENTOR AND A ROLE MODEL.
- Demonstrate advanced tax technical knowledge necessary for advising clients and developing an area of expertise.
- Participate in firm's marketing, recruiting, team-building, and similar efforts.
- Adhere to firm's policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- 8 years of experience in accounting.
- PUBLIC ACCOUNTING PREFERRED.
- Minimum Bachelor's degree: Bachelor's in Accounting for Audit or Tax.
- Must be a CPA for Audit; Must maintain required CPE credits annually.
- Must complete acknowledgement of Independence Guidelines and Ethical Standards document.
- Government engagements require ability to obtain a security clearance from the United States government.
