A great UHY client is seeking a Defense Contract Consultant to join their team. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with the DCAA, cost allocation experience, and experience adhering to contracts.
The Defense Contract Consultant role is an onsite role. This is a contract position, lasting roughly 2-4 weeks.
Defense Contract Consultant Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct audits of defense contracts and financial statements
- Evaluate internal control systems and processes
- Identify and report on risks, non-compliance, and inefficiencies
- Prepare clear, concise audit reports and documentation
- Collaborate with internal teams and government stakeholders
Defense Contract Consultant Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience with government or defense audits (e.g., DCAA, FAR, DFARS)
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and auditing standards
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- CPA, CIA, or CISA certification preferred (but not required)
