Food Production Manager

Job Summary

As a seasoned Plant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a food or pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This includes managing production, quality, and labor utilization, as well as implementing strategic improvements to drive efficiency and cost savings.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage a team of employees to ensure effective utilization of plant personnel and equipment.
• Collaborate with functional departments to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
• Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain a positive employee morale and oversee maintenance department to accomplish a 98% uptime.
• Verify preventative maintenance program and ensure all staff are trained in Good Manufacturing Practices as defined by FDA and OSHA requirements.

Requirements

• Ten or more years of experience in plant operations Food or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.
• Proven skills in leadership and management.
• Demonstrated understanding of lean manufacturing principles.
• Able to work in a dynamic & fast paced environment.
• Excellent organizational & project management skills.
• Attention to details.
• Effectively prioritize tasks & multitask.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business, engineering, or related field.
