Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer / Editor to join our team at UIC Alaska. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for creating and editing complex GIS technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and write detailed documentation for various projects, including scopes of work, customer requirements documents, security-related documents, and more.
- Edit and customize screenshots and graphics for use in technical documents.
- Maintain proficiency in document-development applications, such as Adobe Acrobat Professional, Adobe InDesign, Microsoft Office Suite, and graphics applications like Adobe Photoshop and Microsoft Visio.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in a technical writing position.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate with a team.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, GitLab, eMASS, SpecsIntact, Camtasia, and/or Esri ArcGIS is a plus.
