Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to join our team at UIC Alaska. This is a challenging role that requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise on-site work to ensure compliance with safety protocols and construction regulations.
- Enforce site-specific safety plans and conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards.
- Assist project managers with ordering materials, interacting with subcontractors, and ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Inspect work quality, confirm adherence to plans and specifications, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure projects meet schedules, budget, and quality standards by organizing, planning, monitoring, and inspecting work.
- Maintain safety regulations and building code requirements, and organize weekly safety meetings and progress reviews.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA construction regulations, USACE EM-385 standards, and safety practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and maintain deadlines.
- Familiarity with scheduling software and proficiency in Microsoft applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
