Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Equipment Operation:
- Operate loaders, dump trucks, forklifts, and other machinery.
- Perform daily safety inspections of all equipment.
- Ensure safe operation around personnel in crowded job sites.
- Maintain equipment and report any safety incidents to the Superintendent.
- Truck Driving Specific Duties:
- Transport materials and equipment, including rig support and frac sand, to and from various sites.
- Load, secure, and unload cargo following safety regulations.
- Drive trucks with various trailers, including flatbeds, tankers, and bulk sand trailers.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, addressing any issues promptly.
- Rig Support Hauling:
- Haul drilling equipment, pipes, and other rig supplies.
- Coordinate with supervisors for timely delivery and pickup.
- Operate specialized equipment safely and efficiently.
- Frac Sand Hauling:
- Transport frac sand to and from hydraulic fracturing sites.
- Operate pneumatic and hopper trailers, following all safety protocols.
- Manage the unloading process to ensure efficiency.
- Job-Specific Duties:
- Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Equipment Use:
- Proficient in general construction tasks and equipment usage.
- 2 years of experience on commercial job sites and driving articulating dump trucks preferred.
- Truck Driving Skills:
- Proven experience in rig support and frac sand hauling.
- Ability to maneuver large vehicles and trailers in tight areas.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Safety and Performance:
- Perform tasks safely and orderly.
- Ability to work independently without supervision.
- Communicate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, clients, supervisors, and coworkers.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive physical activity, including lifting, pushing, or pulling objects over 50 pounds.
- Ability to operate equipment and reach all controls safely.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and vibration.
Education, Experience, Certifications, and Licenses Required:
- Educational Background:
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Licensing and Certification:
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with endorsements for tankers and hazardous materials preferred.
- Experience:
- 2 to 5 years of experience as a truck driver, with specific experience in rig support and frac sand hauling preferred.
Work Environment:
- Exposure to hazards or physical risks requires following safety precautions.
- Must adapt to constantly changing work environments and various job site conditions.
